Race Information
Heart & Soles, formerly known as Chains of Love, is one of the biggest fundraisers and community outreach events facilitated by the Cal Poly Triathlon Team each year. Unique in style and location, this run is hosted entirely on the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus every Valentine's Day Weekend. Join us this year and help decrease hunger in the SLO community while supporting the Cal Poly Triathlon team. 20% of proceeds will be donated to the SLO Food Bank. The SLO Food Bank will also be collecting canned goods at the race. The race is happening on Saturday, February 15th, 2014. Find out more below!
Race Day
- 7:00–8:30 AM: Packet pick-up and race day registration
- 9:00 AM: 5k, 10k, 15k singles and couples races begin
- 10:30 AM: Kid’s ½ mile fun run begins
Parking
General parking is available for free on campus. Please be mindful of parking signs or indications that specify STAFF or METERED parking 24/7. Use the Parking Map to assist you in finding a parking spot.
Race Day Registration
RACE DAY REGISTRATION and PACKET PICK UP will begin at 7:00 AM and close promptly at 8:45 AM. 5k, 10k, and 15k races will begin at 9:00 AM.
The event (race start, registration, and packet pick-up) will be held on O'Neill Green, adjacent to California Blvd. and the Business Building (building 3). To make registration run smoothly, please print, sign, and bring the attached waivers to registration (Photo Release and University Release). ALL runners 14 and under must have a parent present with them at the race. ALL minors must have a parent sign the Minor's University Release Form).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- NO Dogs are allowed on the course according to University Policy.
- Strollers are allowed, but please start at the back of the race
- There will be many tasty treats and cool items to buy so bring some cash
- A bag check will be available. Please bring your own bag.
